We built Honeymoon Huts to be light on data. This page explains what happens when you use the site.

What we collect

We do not require accounts and we do not sell personal information. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and performance.

Advertising

We show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

Approximate location

To suggest destinations that suit where you're traveling from, the homepage works out your approximate country in your browser. It uses the country reported by our hosting provider's network or your device's time zone. We never ask for precise GPS location. This information is not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Stored on your device

If you tap a heart to save a stay or choose travel dates, those preferences are stored only in your own browser (local storage) so they're remembered next time. A shared shortlist link simply lists the stays in the link itself. You can clear them anytime by clearing your browser's site data.

Affiliate partners

When you click a partner link, you leave our site. The partner (and affiliate networks such as Travelpayouts) may use cookies to record that you came from Honeymoon Huts so we can be credited for a booking. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed at children under 13.
